The foremost place for reincarnation research is the Division of Perceptual Studies (DOPS) formerly the Division of Personality Studies,  at the University of Virginia. This is the organization associated with the late Ian Stevenson. Although this is within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Virginia, they do not treat the cases as mental health issues but investigate them for their potential evidence of reincarnation. DOPS is interested in near-death experiences and prenatal experiences as well as those suggestive of reincarnation.
